MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company to Make Springtime Debut in Greater Houston at I-10 Location

MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, a California-based concept with the mission to"bring friends together” over authentically original Italian fare, is entering the Greater Houston Area market with an official launch date slated for late-April or early-May.

The debut location, conveniently situated along the I-10 corridor, occupies a 3,500-square-foot space with patio area inside Katy's newly developed Mason Creek Plaza. MidiCi Katy shares the shopping center with other national-hotspot eateries including a recently opened Tom and Chee and under-construction JINYA Ramen Bar.

Multi-franchise owners, husband-wife team Brandon and Chantel Gawthorp, have an established foothold in the fast-growing West Houston market. He said they saw MidiCi as a perfect fit for the closely knit, community-oriented area and are excited to bring the concept close to home. Inspired and designed to foster authentic human connections, the restaurant features a menu of traditional Neapolitan cuisine served in its signature "fast-fine" fashion.

Guests can select from traditional and signature menu options or create personalized Neapolitan pizzas in an open kitchen service line, also known as “the heart." Each one is handmade with fresh, all-natural, non-GMO ingredients then baked to perfection in traditional custom-built, wood-fired ovens at a blazing 90 seconds flat. Health-conscious consumers can enjoy an ample offering of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices including a variety of made-to-order customizable salads. 

MidiCi Katy will be the first location to also feature a full bar with traditional cocktails, craft beers and fine wines. 

Under the oversight of General Manager and nationally renowned Master Neapolitan Pizzaiolo Alessio Lacco, guests will be able to savor the flavors of a true Neapolitan pizza – the original pizza – exquisitely crafted just the way the Italians invented it 300 years ago. From small-batch artisan gelatos to "the perfect cup of espresso," MidiCi gives visitors a full taste-travel experience through Naples tradition — all in a stylish, inviting atmosphere fashioned with the explicit intention to "make the world a friendlier place."

The rapidly expanding restaurant franchise provides pizza aficionados with an upscale ambiance, created by acclaimed Los Angeles hotel and restaurant designer and architect Sam Marshall, while maintaining the affordability and convenience of casual dining. Built by a fusion of “functional art” materials, the interior beckons guests to visit and celebrate memories over an exquisite meal while seated next to the signature live indoor olive tree. 

MidiCi is growing all across the country, with over 400 locations slated to open within the next 6 years. The goal is to scale the success of MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza flagship location, a 4,300 square foot space in Los Angeles, which has amassed over 1,000 rave reviews and a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on Yelp since its opening in June 2015.
