Texans Can Academies - Houston Southwest high school has relocated their campus to a new site at 10914 S Gessner, Houston, TX 77071.

The campus moved from their location at 9745 Bissonnet St., Houston, TX 77036, nearly four miles away. The new campus consists of two buildings that adjoin each other, Building A and Building B, totaling 45,000 square feet. Building A consists of 21,000 square feet and will be renovated and utilized for the future needs of the school. Building B is 24,000 square feet and has been completely remodeled as the main high school building.

Texans Can Academies - Houston Southwest moved to the new site because it will provide a more suitable location for the campus and was developed and renovated as a custom built modern high school. It was redesigned to include 15 classrooms, two computer labs, multiple offices, conference rooms, large cafetorium, kitchen, and storage spaces. The enrollment capacity of the building will be approximately 350 students per half-day session, totaling up to 700 students per day.

The parking lot holds 280 parking spaces. There is a bus stop next door to the campus making it convenient for students traveling by bus to school.

All existing staff and students transferred to the new campus and formally occupied the campus on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 as the new school semester begins. The campus will allow for additional social distancing with enhanced sanitization measures and features modern HVAC equipment.

The building and property were purchased from Ron Roodgari, owner of Spike Sport Inc. in September 2017.

Texans Can Academies - Houston Southwest’s principal, Justin Reyes, says, “We are excited to relocate our students and staff to this new space. The new campus provides a more suitable location for our school and we hope the updated, modern space will help inspire our students to learn.”

Texans Can Academies provides students with a high quality education, access to resources, and the skills they need, so they can achieve their own economic independence through a pathway of success.
