Texans Can Academies announces available job opportunities at their Houston campuses that include teachers and other staff positions. Texans Can Academies is a unique network of 14 dropout prevention high schools located in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. Each Texans Can Academies campus offers low student to teacher ratios, state-of-the-art technology, and an environment to provide the highest quality education to all students.

The various positions and their descriptions and qualifications may be found here. Applications may be submitted online.

Open positions include:

  • Assistant Principal

  • Teachers - Special Education

  • Teacher - Math

  • Teacher - Science

  • Teacher - ESL

  • Food Service Assistant

  • Student Advocate

  • Special Education Instructional Aide

  • Special Education ARD Facilitator

There are also open positions available at the Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio campuses.

The schools are tuition-free, open enrollment, public high schools of choice. Texans Can Academies graduate thinkers and provide students who have struggled in a traditional high school setting a second chance to earn their high school diploma. The schools are dedicated to providing their students the necessary skills for their chosen path after graduation, whether it is to attend college or enter the workforce, and ultimately become economically independent.

To date, more than 162,139 youth have been given a second chance at life with the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Cars for Kids is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization benefiting Texans Can Academies and is the only car donation program in Texas that is operated by the charity it serves.
