Pumpkinstein

Colony Meadows Elementary library has transformed into a pumpkin patch of story-book characters!

Each year the students are invited to bring an artificial pumpkin decorated to look like any storybook character.  Starting out with only a bumpy orange sphere, the transformations that these students pulled off this year were an art show in themselves!  The pumpkins line the shelves of the library and entice the children to have a look at the pumpkin, or even better, the book that inspired the pumpkin art.  From the “Alicia Snow Queen Fairy-Pumpkin” to “Pumpkinstein”, all types of children’s literature were represented as pumpkin characters.

But like the magic for the pumpkin in the Cinderella story book, it all comes to an end! On October 31st, these pumpkins return home… maybe for Part II of their happy story book ending-decorating front porches for Halloween!
