Texans Can Academy - Houston North is currently hosting a clothing drive to collect professional clothing and business casual attire to benefit Texans Can Academies students in Houston. Donations such as dress pants, tops, dresses, skirts, belts, jewelry, shoes and more for both young men and women are requested. School uniform attire is also accepted which includes khaki pants and white collared shirts. All sizes are welcome. The donation will help students receive the proper attire needed for job interviews, college interviews and internships.

Donations can be dropped off at the main entrance of Texans Can Academy - Houston North’s campus at 3401 Hardy Street, Houston, TX 77009 between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and will be accepted through March 13th.

“We have organized a professional and business casual attire donation drive to ensure our Houston students have the apparel needed for job interviews, internships, or any other type of formal event that arises,” said Leon Gilmore, principal of Texans Can Academy - Houston North. “Access to the proper attire will boost the confidence of students and relieve any added stress in trying to find something to wear.”

A committee of staff and community volunteers will donate their time to ensure the clothes are organized and distributed to students at the Texans Can Academies schools in Houston.
